Default Ink Dried in Mesh

ok so basicly im printing a 4 color process print using 305 mesh, and a white underlay on dark shirts.
we were playing around with this for a while and get it going the night before. it was working great, however we were just using a little heat gun to flash our white underlay(dident feel like turning on the flash dryer and conveyor when only doing a few small prints).
to day doing the exact same thing except using our flash dryer and conveyor dryer, the first few shirts came out great. but slowly i knowticed less and less ink on them. i figured my friend wasnt pressing hard enuf to apply the right ammount of ink, so i tryed, but same thing. so we looked at the mesh and it was plugged looking (maybe it got too close to the flash unit and warmed up?)- anyhow, we used tr-blend (our ink solvent that is emulsion friendly) and still couldent get the holes to unplug, tryed using gunwash, still wouldent come out. is there anything else we can try..so we would be able to avoid pulling the screens off the press and washing them out? cause its looking like our last option...
if you have any ideas/tips/tricks that would be great. thanks alot guys

Default Re: Ink Dried in Mesh

what kind of ink are you using?

if it's waterbased ink and you let it dry in the screen, or the heat from the heat gun caused it to dry...well then you're going to have one hell of a time getting it out.

if it was plastisol ink, it would take some serious heat to cure it into the mesh so unless you left the heat gun ON the screen then i don't see that happening. if screen opener and ink wash are not taking the ink out, i would suggest just re-meshing the screen.

you could try harsher chemicals, but i personally throw out the mesh and re-strech it, rather than deal with harsh chemicals. mesh is pretty cheap.

hope that helps.

Try cleaning your screen using Screen Wash Reducer.
