I'm going to try printing CMYK using a single angle of 22.5. 55 LPI with 305 screens.
My question is, when I am preparing the artwork in photoshop, I am selecting a color overlay and picking the corresponding color for the film (for instance I color overlay the Cyan film with Cyan color overlay) and place all layers under "multiply", however I don't get the full color image. I instead get a little hue of cyan and some magenta and black but it looks nothing like a full color image.
What am I doing wrong?
Edit: Okay, I think I know what's wrong, I'm using Pantone CMYK as the color overlays. I have the color values for my ink manufacturers ink but how do I load those colors to preview my separations in photoshop?

You have a .API file?
Then: "Color Preferences" / "CMYK" / "Load CMYK" / "Files of Type" and select .API and then your file.
after putting the color overlay, did you merge that layer with a new layer then place it under multiply?
I have to merge it with another layer before hitting multiply?
What I did was, separate the file CMYK and then hit got rid of the white. Hit grey scale, hit cmyk, and placed all the of CMYK layers in a new file and chose all of the color overlays and hit multiply.

Yeah I loaded the color values, but how do I preview the colors using the color overlay? When I hit the yellow and magenta layer and place the overlay as multiply, it turns to black?

yup, you have to that..if you have done this correctly no matter what the sequence of the layers in photoshop the image will not change..
I ended up using different angles. I couldn't get the single angle to look good on the computer screen so I didn't try it.
The shirts came out good on ringspun shirts because the dots covered the entire shirt, the regular shirts came out decent but not good because you could see some of the shirt through the print.
I would post pics, but its for a memorial for a customer so I don't think it's appropriate.
My question is, how can you achieve a nice flesh tone? My prints came out either to pink or too yellow. I couldn't get a nice creme color. I used my auto and played by printing different combos, but again some were decent, but not exactly what I wanted. Any tips? Is this adjusted on press or on your pre-press artwork?
I also had trouble getting a nice grey color. Instead it printed cyan as grey.
