White underbase on burgundy shirt?
I have to print tan plastisol ink on a burgundy colored shirt. Is a white underbase needed? Or can I get away with print/flash/print? Thanks in advance.

Re: White underbase on burgundy shirt? Well, you can always get away with it. Will the print be more vibrant with a white underbase vs. a tan one? Yes.
If you are not going to use white, at least use an opaque tan.

Re: White underbase on burgundy shirt? In my opinion you need an under base. We a lot of times use clear if we don't have a underlay provided that way the trap is not that critical. John

Re: White underbase on burgundy shirt? I've never tried using a clear underbase. Is it harder to register? I'm leaning towards using an underbase but wanted see if there where any other options out there.

Re: White underbase on burgundy shirt? If you use an opaque tan which contains a lot of white, I wouldn't use an underbase. PFP works fine on burgundy with tan inks. Anything with a lot of white such as grey works fine also.

Re: White underbase on burgundy shirt? Thanks everyone. Also I had one more question, the logo has 4 different shades of tan in it. Will I be able to print this with one screen or will I have to make seperate screens?

Re: White underbase on burgundy shirt? You probably need a min of 2 screens depending upon the closeness of the shades.
As to your original question just double hit the tan. Not as hot as a white base but will do the trick
