I havent tried anvil as of yet.my question is ....what is your favorite brand of blank to print on...and which in your opinion gives the best results when printing white ?

What have you liked and disliked about the brands you have been using. What cut of tee are you using? What look are you wanting? What dye method do you like? Do you like 100 cotton or blends? What colors do you generally print on? Are you printing your art or customers? Are the customers educated on brands they prefer?

all good questions.....

with all the brands I have printed on , I dont see a difference as to which brand prints better or worse than any other.I prefer FOL...dont ask me why but when I order blanks I always tend to purchase the FOL.

I am using the basic 5.6 oz regular t 100% cooton, basic colors...red , royal blue , black and ash grey..with the ash grey it has been a 98/2 blend.

I am printing my own art and customers art as well.I have never had a customer ask for a specific brand t before..they always ask me which t they should go with..and like I said before I tend to get the FOL always.

the reason I ask is because im getting some fibration when printing white and I cant seem to figure out why...I would like to know if a specific brand prints a better white than others.

hanes tagless 5250 and the gildan 2000g are my bread and butter. i like anvil 980's for a fashion fit on a budget. if i have to print on anything other than those 3, it will be 100% cotton.

however, i do a lot of contract printing for a friend's sign shop. he uses jerzeez 29m's which IMHO are utter garbage. they are 50/50 and no matter what i do, i still get dye migration on darks. they feel thin and not well built as far as the fit and finish. i also print gildan 8000 for him, which are a little better, but still have inherent 50/50 issues. i just don't see the point of paying almost the same money for such junk.

Gildan is our standard basic brand that we push most. Just have a lot of colors and stock. I personally don't like Gildans though, I'm more of an American Apparel type.

Gildan 2000 for promo type tees, Alstyle 1701 for retail tees, Bare Apparel for high end orders.

I think ring spun and 30 single shirts print better, regardless of brand.

Gildan 2000 is my go to brand, it fits a lot of body styles. Of course, it all comes down to what the customer wants. Mike

Gildan 8000 or 2000 is our "GOTO" brand. If they have a color that is out of stock I always try to order a Jerzee's brand. Not a big fan of FOL for myself for white ink but know alot of people that do like FOL. This question is kindof like asking what is your favorite brand of coffee. At the end of the day everyone has their own favorites for different reasons. I suggest asking your supplier for samples of each brand and figure out which brand is your favorite. Broderbros is very good about sending out a couple of free samples as long as you don't "over do" it Good Luck!! May the best brand win! (yes that was corny sorry too much coffee this morning)

I think the question is more specific to what black or dark colored tees accept white ink the best without fibration.
