My R1800 is on the fritz, so for the time being, I'm looking to outsource my film printing. I tried Kinkos, but they could not get the transparency to come out 100% opaque.Any ideas?

Why not have it printed on paper instead, I'm sure the design will be printed opaque on paper...
Doing cuts and tapes is a tedious work, considering issues like how many colors should be aligned. I would not suggest but it will be your last resort.

hi check this i posted a while ago you may be able to use it?
hi people
just thought i'd pass on info of a free program which enlarges images-for those who have trouble getting images bigger than a4 size. Its called MR POSTER and can be found at Free Software Downloads and Reviews - Download.com
Below is a brief idea of what the program does.
Mr. Poster was created to be the quickest, easiest, and cheapest poster maker / poster printer on the market. Create and print huge posters using any Windows printer and just about any image. Mr. Poster creates high-quality multi-page images virtually instantly. You can create posters from any image (JPG, BMP, TIF, GIF, TGA, MAC) in sizes up to 20 x 20 sheets of paper. Use special effects like solarization, pixelization, and oilification to take your posters to the next level. Get perfect printing the first time and every time, in record time.
Location: Indiana- between cornfields, farmers, and good 'ol boys.

I get mine done at Office Max. I use a free program called posterazor which will print it from my computer on 8.5X11 paper like a poster to be put together by tape. I take the papers in and get transparencies and put them together with clear scothc tape. It's a pain as suggested earlier but my only option at this point.
As far as getting the transparency opaque, there is only one person that can do this for me at my local office max. I had to wait until he was working to get it done until i asked him to email me step by step what he does so i could go in there anytime and get it done. I have these instructions if you want them.

Hi Nick
I think you're in Tempe, and thanks for being a patron to our humble establishment if I'm correct.
Folks in Phoenix Metro have two local free-lance artists/output services for the trade that will print your files into opaque film positives or handle a variety of other prepress art services.
Both of these ethical fellows can output film up to 42" wide if needed:
Shane is at 480-968.6791 or
