Re: Need help getting this effect on tshirt... To me this looks like it would work best with a 2-color print using halftones. White and green on a black surface.

Re: Need help getting this effect on tshirt... I think a 3 color, white, flash, green, flash, white. You could make it a 2 color probably or as many as 4-5 if you wanted to get really flashy with it.

Re: Need help getting this effect on tshirt... It's at least 3 colors- white-cool grey-green. More than likely it was done with 2 greys, white, and 2 shades of green, and maybe even a black printer.
Trying to get subtle dark shading is nearly impossible with just white ink. The proper grey shadow detail screen takes an airbrushed look to a new level on a t-shirt.

Re: Need help getting this effect on tshirt... You'll have to use halftones, only way with all the fades...
You guys were missing that that's not a pic of a screenprinted shirt. It's a airbrushed Biggie with a computer mock up (I'm guessing) with the cash.

Re: Need help getting this effect on tshirt... I would love to learn if someone can replicate this same thing with screens. But if you're going the
DTG way, without rhinestones, this is a walk in the park.

Re: Need help getting this effect on tshirt... It's airbrushed art-but it's a screenprinted shirt. How do I know? Because I used to sell them- they had 100's of them on Broadway a few years ago.

Re: Need help getting this effect on tshirt... That would be fairly easy to replicate by screen printing, shouldn't be a problem at all to make it look great. I think it would look better screen printed than
dtg , imo.

Re: Need help getting this effect on tshirt... I don't think just white is gonna get it. Theres too much dark shadow detail to depend on 1-3% halftone dots to create the subtlety. I've tried.

Re: Need help getting this effect on tshirt... The best way to reproduce this is to use as many grays as you can. I would use white, and at least 3 grays and a green for the money. We print similar designs often and use multiple grays. Attached are some pics of prints we have printed that use at least 2 grays, plus an under and top white.

Re: Need help getting this effect on tshirt... What software do you use? any add-ons? I use the live trace on Illustrator for greyscale, but i'd need at least 9 shades of grey to come close to what you're doing and still it isn't as clean.
