Default What is the best ink to screen onto recycled card?

Hello all,

im based in the UK, however I dare say somebody over the pond can assist in answering this one.

Im a screenprinter, im looking for an ink (eco or otherwise) that will leave a high quality finish when being screened onto recycled card (or standard card 300gsm weight).

Im looking for something preferably that has minimal bleed on semi-pourous surfaces, comes in a good variety of colours and will not dry in the screen.

Any suggestions at all, even things you think might work. Help me out.

Thankyou

Once when I looked into this a sales rep told me about Jacquard professional Screen printing ink. he said it was great for card stock as it would not warp or wrinkle the paper.

TW Graphics makes the best waterbased inks for flatstock, hands down.

Hi I have been a graphics printer for 7 years and work full time screen printing on card and so forth I am also from the uk if your printing spot colours then sericol do an ink called seristar you get a good result with this and it comes in a lot of colours the colours can also be mixed with their pantone guides online if you are looking for a certain colour. If you're doing process work on card then sericol do an ink called prostar the problem is with printing solvent based inks they will always dry up on screen but you can add a retarder to your ink this will help with it drying up, the seristar ink has a gloss finish to it if you were looking a matt finish they try colorjet it doesn't dry up as much in screen.
