Default Old Harco press off contact?

Take a look at the pic of a Harco press that is similar to one I have.

Where or how do you set the off contact?

i used to have an old harco 6/4, but yours a lot of the parts on yours look different.

on your pic, there is a bracket that is right underneath the arrow labeling the arm pin. does that have a thin-headed bolt? if so that would be it.

maybe post a pic closer to where the arm meets the pallet.

Default Re: Old Harco press off contact?

I have the same Harco press and still am a little confused as to where the off contact adjustment is. Are there any shortcuts to adjusting this? My press has the side clamps with two hexnuts on each side. I know that adjustment is to make sure the screen is laying flat on the platen but would that have something to do with the off contact as well?

Ive tried to use quarters or washers in order to create some off contact but my screens are bigger then the platens so the quarters dont touch the platen. Is there another trick I could try? Please help!!
