Default Pinholes in my emulsion

Why is it that my emulsion keeps getting pinholes in it when am burning the image with my light source. They actually aren't pinholes as much as really light areas that almost looks like the emulsion has come off while still in the burning process. Is my emulsion to thin? Do I need to start coating my screen on both sides? If so, then how will that effect my burning time?

You most definently have to coat on both sides, preferably with the round side. You may have to burn longer.

I have tried coating both sided with emulsion before and when I set it down horizontally to dry it left drip build up on the bottom of my screen.

You need to scrape some off before laying down the screen

Make sure that your emulsion is 100% dry. a small heater behind a fan will help.

make sure the glass on your exposure unit is clean. Lint can cause pin holes. make sure your drying room or cabinet is dust free as well. When your screens are drying from reclaiming if dust gets on them it can cause pin holes.

Also make sure when you reclaim your screens you wash them good. if any chemicals are left that will cause issues as well.
