Default Distance from Top of Screen

I have a 6 color, 2 station screen printing unit and am wonder if anyone knows off hand how far away from the top of my screen I should start my design exposure for a medium to large image on the back of a tee shirt.

Basically the common back of tee shirt design.

Also...

for front - I am making a smaller design over the left breast - like a company name or logo - how far from the top of the screen should I start my design.

The issue is my unit is at another location so I can't make measurements with my screens and the machine as I have the screens at this location and would like to bring finished exposed screens to the unit when I travel there.

Thanks!!!

Use a blank screen, not a coated screen.Place the art on the platen where you would like the print to land and measure.Go to your other location and measure and expose.
If you do a search on this site there is all types of info as to where people place the logos.Just make sure your crest print doesn't end up under the armpit!

Since you dont have your press handy, just lay a screen on a blank shirt and do the same type of measurements inkfreak mentioned.

You just need to be approximate since both the platen and the screen can be moved/adjusted.
