Re: beveled/embossed seperations I would still print a black. The image posted is pretty small and when you create your plates / seps there will be a lot of halftones which will restrict you to a smaller halftone size 55 or higher in order to get a good smooth reproduction in the print.
I would print
white
lt gold
gold
black
since you say there is red put it before or after the gold depending on how much red is in the design.

Re: beveled/embossed seperations as they didnt want to pay for the extra ink and screens, i removed the embossing and just going to print the plain text.......its funny how the extra cost scares the customer somtimes and how they think it shouldnt cost any extra

Re: beveled/embossed seperations well you could have gotten away printing White, Gold and black. Using halftones on the black plate to get the beveled look. This would require 196/230 mesh frames and most likely reducing your inks a tad yet would work just fine.
and yes price always effects every job. its a pita because it can turn a awesome job into a plain jane
