Sensitized Emulsion w/ Diazo
I am about to mix my first Diazo/Emulsion and was told to use distilled water.
Has anyone used other water - spring water, sink water, well water and had terrible results?
Thanks!

Re: Sensitized Emulsion w/ Diazo I always use cold water straight from the kitchen sink and I've never had an issue.

Re: Sensitized Emulsion w/ Diazo shouldnt be an issue using regular tap water, been using it for 12 years with no issues.
Also make sure once you mix you let the emulsion sit for a couple hours to let the bubbles rise and pop. Immediately coating after mixing can cause issues with your stencil.

Re: Sensitized Emulsion w/ Diazo Theoretically tap water could introduce problematic contaminants, but as you've read above in practice it isn't usually a problem (I use tap water too). If you have poor local water it might vary though I suppose.

Re: Sensitized Emulsion w/ Diazo I use the same thing and use tap water, and I have had no problem at all, but do make sure you do use cold water and if possible mix your emulsion rather then shake it. It does create bubbles, and will take more time before you can use it.

Re: Sensitized Emulsion w/ Diazo You can use regular water. Its best if you used some sort of filtered water, because if you don't you will be throwing a bunch of dirt sediments into your emulsion.
