Default Is this a good idea?

hello, i am new at this whole thing, and i was wondering, for someone just starting out, and for a project more so just for me and my friends rather than a business, i was wondering if just printing out my designs onto acetate paper, and then cutting them out into a stencil and then painting them with fabric paint onto the shirts will get me good results?

thanks for the help.

It will only cost you a few bucks to find out that no, it probably won't yield satisfying results.

I agree with this completely.

The great thing about using a screen (as opposed to painting) is that it puts down an even layer of ink, and without the texture of a paint brush. Even if you're using paper stencils, you'll still get better results placing them on a screen and using a squeegee than you would using a paint brush.
