Default Spike UDC-420D emulsion exposure time?

So im pretty much new to the whole tshirt thing, and i just picked up all of my supplies a couple days ago. One problem that i have ran in to is how long should i expose SPIKE emulsion for when burning my images? For right now, untill i make a exposure unit using UV light im using the sun. About how long should i Expose SPIKE emulsion in the sun for, and how do i know when it is ready to be washed out? I tried 5 mins and then 10mins, basicly i can see the image in the mesh but it wont wash out so i removed the emulsion and im starting back to square one.

Oh one more thing, i got international coatings black plasticol ink, can i dry it with a blow dryer or do i have to heat it up to like 300 degrees like i heard from someone...

Any info, or help is greatly appreciated considering the fact that i have no idea what im doing as far as emulsion exposure time.

Thanks,

Mickey

SPIKE is designed to optimize at the 420 nanometer spectral point, so make sure your exposure unit takes advantage of that very specific characteristic.
