I have a new Epson R1900. I'm used to outputting film on a laser printer but switched to inkjet after reading some threads on this site. I have the stock Epson set-up with the standard ink cartridges, but remember reading that you can get away with printing with the standard ink and without a RIP?
The print was completely smeared at first until I switched the paper slection and print settings. Now the film prints without smearing but it is not dark enough to expose a screen properly and I can still wipe off the logo? I am using Accuart 2 film - which is supposed to be good film for inkjets?
How can I use my Epson R1900 to properly output film without getting the Black Maxx set-up?
The inks are full of uv block, therefore they will work even when not as black as you might want. The only way is to try an inch square of each resolution until you find one that works :-)
Is the Accuart 2 waterproof? I think it is, and if so, try using a Matte setting for your printout instead of photo. This will use the matte ink which will work much better than the photo setting.
