Default Liquid paper and screen pin holes

I am a newbee to the screen printng industry. I have tried some ideas that have turned out good and bad. I have had some pin holes in my screens and I usually cover them with tape. This is a pain!!! Tonight, I happened to look at a "liquid Paper" applicator on my desk. It's the new kind with the roll inside a clear plastic containe. Either I came up with a good idea for getting those little hard to get holes or I have been exposed to too much screen opener fumes. Does anybody have experience with using "Liquid Paper" to cover defects on their screens?

You can buy spot-out fluid from your dealer.

I usually just apply a dab of emulsion to fill in the pinhole and then expose it.

Do Not use liquid paper. I tried it ONCE. No good. Buy some liquid block out and a fine brush. Its cheap and goes a long way, or if you have a pinhole nowhere near your design , just put the tape over it.

Pinholes are a symptom of not filling the holes in the mesh with emulsion in the first place.

Block holes in you stencil with emulsion or commercial screen filler/blockout. Blockout dries faster than emulsion and dissolves easily with water.

Block and close holes in your mesh with the already mentioned nail polish or mesh adhesive.

I put some emulsion in a pointed lid ketchup bottle. One of those red ones. I taped the bottle around with duct tape so there was no light penetration. It works like a charm for pinholes. Good luck.

The pointed lid is called a "yorker" cap, but no hardware store I've ever gone to knows that. They all know mustard dispenser.

I use scotch tape and can't see how its a pain. Works great, quick and easy, and no waiting for it to dry.

Pinholes are also caused by dust. It gets on the screen and blocks out the light and gets blown out of the screen with your design.

"Yorker" cap...you learn something new every day.

This is the same thing I do, just use a dab of emulsion on the shirt side, it dries in a few minutes.
