Default First set of screens exposed ever

I just finished exposing a set of 4 screens ...the first set I ever exposed in my life...they came out great....I used:

500 watt halogen(removed the uv filter)
16 inches off screen
12 minutes 30 seconds
dule cure emulsion
fan to keep glass from getting to hot

the only thing is the edge of the glass left lines in the screen and the emulsion washed out in that area..which i will have to tape off before printing.....do I need a larger piece of glass?

What are the dimensions of your piece of glass and screen? It would probably be ideal to have your glass bigger than your screen. That way you would avoid unwanted emulsion washing out and it is just easier to remove the glass after you're done burning.

Hope that helped!

the screen is 20 x 24 and the glass is 12 x 12 i think...so i will get a bigger piece of glass tommorow.

my glass is bigger than my screen also, not sure where you are getting your glass but i went to goodwill and just bought an old large picture that came with glass, and i think i only paid 5.00 for it. Just thought i would pass this info on.
