its just found probably the most cheap and basic way to screen print - ever.
not professional results but still great quality for what it is.

Re: the poor man's screen print - haha!! for the cheap-o's Haha that was cool, in a weird way
It just goes to show that if you really want to do something, there is always a way no matter how much money you have

Re: the poor man's screen print - haha!! for the cheap-o's You can actually screenprint using knife cut film without much equipment and get great results. That's how I got started many years ago, with Amberlith, Rubylith, an Exacto knife, and homemade screens. My friend and I printed up to three colors that way, no offset, no rotary press, cured in a homemade drying oven. People loved them.

Re: the poor man's screen print - haha!! for the cheap-o's thats cool but i think amberlith and rubylith were bro discontinued a few years ago... i actually used to make shirts that way too, but was only able to print one color designs.
without an offset or a press, it seemed multiple colored designs were impossible. how did you manage that?
did you build something to register your screens into place?

Re: the poor man's screen print - haha!! for the cheap-o's Well done boys, that's pretty much how screenprinting started several hundred years ago.

Re: the poor man's screen print - haha!! for the cheap-o's Yeah, knife cut stencil was invented in the 1920's by Ulano, about the same time that photoreactive emulsion was invented.

Re: the poor man's screen print - haha!! for the cheap-o's I still use Rubylith. Sometimes it's the best tool for the job.
