Default ARGGHHH...Ink staying in screen mesh

Hi guys,

Any help on this issue would be much appreciated, as it's really starting to wind me up!

Trying to print white waterbased on dark garment. Problem I'm having is I'm getting the ink staying ink the screen mesh, not laying onto the shirt.

It's 43 mesh, I've got my off contact set ok as far as I'm aware, it's not that the ink is drying as it's happening on my first attempt of printing.

I've tried different squeegee pressures/angles. Using the ink neat to pretty much it just thick enough so it doesn't run watered down.

Decided to move to waterbased to achieve a soft touch feel, the ink theat is transfering to the shirt from the seems to be just laying on the top of the shirt, kind of sticking to it.

I must be doing something wrong but I just don't know wat! Attached some images that may help illustrate!

Any help much appreciated!

Hi Billy,
Try heating up the palette with your flash unit before putting the shirt on, and then, heat up the shirt. What temperature and humidity level is the room in which you are printing in?

You may have scumming on your screen. it is cause by underexposure. After washing out your image and not drying your screen of water it moves into the image areas and dries. you really cant see it but it causes a blocking of your stencil.

wipe the screen with a rag then try some screen opener and remember when u are using waterbase you should always flood your design after you print.
