Default Shirt looks faded and I don't like it!!

I have started printing from home and I am noticing that when I use my white ink on a black shirt it looks faded on the shirt and I don't like it. Is there something wrong with the ink? When i use the squedgee do I just need to use more pressure? what do you think it could possibly be?

Could be anything:
too little ink - heavier emulsion/coarser mesh
cheap ink - you get what you pay for
bad surface - ink is not lying on surface
More details please.

Are you flashing? You cannot use one layer of white ink on a black or dark shirt, must print-flash-print.

Actually you could. Using a low mesh count and creamy bright white ink gives excellent results. I am sure he isn't flashing or he might be using waterbase white on dark garment.

You might need to print flash print to get a nice white. more pressure will not improve your results. give us more detail on your process. Mesh count? Type/brand ink? You might also need a softer squeegee

Using a flash dryer to gel the ink between colours.
