Default Verification of Ghostscript Display Settings vs. Image Resolution

I've been trying to setup ghostscript properly for regular use, but have noticed that screens printed via accurip (currently using the trial) are coming out with a much coarser (I'm using accurip as my control) halftone count as compared to ghostscript which seems to have at least twice as many dots per line. I'm sure i'm doing something wrong via ghostscript, but I'd like some confirmation if at all possible.

The paper size (letter in this case) is set properly in both applications as well..
Epson 1400 printer

I've attached images with my settings in case i'm missing something obvious.

AccuRIP is setting it's own screening, Ghostscript will pick up what the Postscript file specifies, i.e. what the separation set up box in AI or Corel says.

The first and third images don't match, yet the first is obviously a screen shot from ghostview. Your settings appear to be correct in the third screenshot, and for a 2-inch image, the first image looks as if it may well be about a 45 line image at the angle you've selected. If the output from AccuRip is twice the linescreen count as the Ghostscript film then that's where your problem is. Try a really coarse linescreen count, such as 15 lpi, output from both programs on some scraps of film. It'll be much easier to see which is outputting the linescreen you are requesting. With Ghostscript, since you're creating a postscript file, or printing to file, or printing to disk, the linescreen information is embedded in the file itself, and since the actual printer isn't postscript, it's driver can't override the embedded information. And Ghostscript has no settings to change linescreen counts or angles. Your second thumbnail refers to the monitor viewing settings within Ghostview, not to linescreen output, although you should double-check the printer settings to make sure you're not scaling the image up or down by accident. Those settings would be in the dialog box for the particular printer you're using to output the film to.
