Re: capillary films Murakami makes an SBQ type Cap Film; not good for waterbased inks. Chromaline makes a Dual-Cure type Cap Film called MagnaCure, but for waterbase, would only last long enough for samples. You can post-treat either of these films with a stencil hardner to increase the water-resistance, but that brings ups other reclaiming issues.
There are many applications where Cap Film meets quality and costing issues better than liquid coatings, but waterbased inks will demand more from your stencil.
Please note that proper coating of a screen can often gain the biggest Cap Film benefit; stencil prominence for good edge definition. |
