re: pros and cons of screenprinting on a 100% cotton tee or a 50/50 (cotton/polyester) and which is better?
Personally, I like printing on 50/50's better.. Although 100%'s aren't as susceptible to heat as the 50/50s. I've heard of customer's shirts shrinking after a few washes (I thought they all came preshrunk these days?). Anywho.. just my 2 cents!
Each style has its own pros and cons, just figure out what you like best and go with it!

I don't see any difference in the print quality between 100% and 50/50. The biggest difference is the fit of the shirt after a few washes. Most shirts say they are pre-shrunk but I have not experienced that. My favorite shirt that is a basic 100 or 50/50 (not american apparel) is the Jerzees 29m... that shirt seems to keep its fit wash after wash

100% cotton all the way. The color does not bleed, it does not scorch as easily under a flash, more comfortable to wear. But the bottom line is what ever my customer ask for that is what I will be printing. If my customer ask for a recommendation i will always tell them 100% cotton.

That's what's great about this forum. You can get both ends of the spectrum. We print about 90% - 50/50 and 10% of 100%. (that's a lot of percents). We can't tell much of a difference in printing - it's most notable on the customer end. The customers like how 50/50 comes out of their dryer, they don't shrink.
