Default Best Way To Start Out With $10,000

My screen printer went out of business today and I have decided to bring some of our printing in-house. I have a budget somewhere in the range of $10,000 -$15,000

Can anyone give me some guidance as far as best equipment (Needing 4 -6 Color Manual Press Probably)...

The package red suggests would be a great start. Your budget is more than the package so I would suggest looking at some of the upgrades, especially the press and dryer. I'm not familiar with the brands of dryers in the deal but you should check the production capacity of each one and weigh whether or not that increase is worth the price and that it will fit your printers production speed. You don't want to buy all of this equipment and grow out of it quickly so get enough to allow for growth.

10 grand? Man you can't lose! Good luck! Don't skimp on the press, buy a good used dryer, get newmann rollers, get good exposure unit.

If it were my money, I would probably go with the setup reddawg suggested. The hopkins press is a solid buy and will last a long time. Upgrade to the x-vactor exposure unit, black body econocure dryer and the 18x18 flash unit.

With more time you could probably go used equipment that is in good condition for even cheaper allowing you to get more for your money. It just takes too much time to research and try to find the right used products that have been taken care of.

What did your printer do with his equipment. You might be able to make a deal there.

But you might be able to buy it for next to nothing. Maybe less than a decent new 6 color manual. He may let you make payments or possibly "rent" the equipment while he tries to sell it. If he's holding out for big money, he's likely to own it for a while. It's worth a shot. A friend just bought a car at a dealer for 80% less than asking. He just took cash, made a stupid offer and they took it. Guess the rent was due.
