Re: Anyone ever use Holden Emulsions from standardscreen.com? I used Holden's 250 I believe, their water-resistant emulsion. The screens broke down on me, as in, chunks fell off, after about 30 shirts. They told me that I didn't want to use a hardener either. Perhaps I did something wrong. I use their discharge ink and it is great. I will attribute my experience with the Holden's emulsion with a possible user error, as I was new with screen printing at the time. I switched to Murakami Aquasol HV with a hardener after that, and it works great as far as water-resistance goes, but it is hard to wash-out and reclaim. I guess that is typical of a water-resistant emulsion though. |
