Default "Design by humans" shirts = soft

bought some shirts from design by humans (for one because they were just cool looking, and two because i wanted to see how well the prints actually turn out... it's nice to look at professional work and find mistakes... it shows their human too) and they are some of the nicest quality shirts i have worn. I mean, softer then hell, even after a couple washes. Anyone have any idea where they get them? Also, was considering Alstyle shirts and wondered if anyone has some good suggestions for styles... nice fitting, quality and weight... fabric. Let me know whats good and what I should be aware of.

thanks for the feedback in advance

They remove the label and print their own, so no one knows.

The 1701 Alstyle ringspun is a good alternative, as is American Apparel. The alstyle is a 5.5 oz. The American Apparel around 4.5. DBH is even lighter.

From what i have read they were using American apparel but it seems they are doing cut and sew for themselves now just like johnny cupcakes will be doing.

probably custom made in china! at $24 a shirt, I think they might have a little $$ to work with.

is it hard to pull off "cut and sew" by yourself? I mean, it seems like a lot of work. Hows it done?

They contact a manufacturer and give their specifications/pattern. Its not that hard to do cut and sew if you got the heaps of cash to do it right. For someone like me its not worth it and I couldn't afford it. Until the day comes when i can sell over a thousand shirts a month I would never even consider doing it.

I have a couple of their shirts. Interestingly, they do not have an RN # printed on them. I thought that was a requirement?

I would be shocked if they told you their source for tees, unless it's custom made. I am sure that would be a trade secret.
