hey, i am currently awaiting the arrival of an epson 1400 and was curious if print quality will be compromised if i am using photoshop cs2... I will be getting illustrator in time but for now i will be using cs2... Anybody know?

Print quality has nothing to do with the version of Adobe your using, it's rather what DPI you are working in with PSD. Try designing everything 300DPI or higher.

Your printer will always print much higher than 300 dpi. I can't remember if the hard resolution of the printhead on the 1400 is 720 dpi or 1440dpi.
In any case, what the previous poster was referring to was the resolution of your file or image in photo shop. A file or image resolution of 300 dpi should be sufficient for any film you need to make.
