Hey guys... I was printing some shirts today and got carried away talking while a shirt was under the flash dryer... it got a little hot and without thinking I printed another coat... it was hot enough that it actually set up some of the ink into the mesh. Some washed out with degreaser and mineral spirits but not much is happening now so I have it soaking. Is there any way to get it out or do I have to start over? Will a pressure wash take it out or do I have to junk the screen... Thanks
I would try using a screen opener like Camie 480, I believe it will get cured ink out of a screen. This is the one I use, but there are many others available.
Sorry,I don't use screen openers because they are just awful smelling.I use xylene to clean my screens on press.Have not had to use a can of that nasty stuff for 20 years.I guess its up to you.
Hey Steve, It's nice to know that they finally have a citrus based screen opener.Like I said the other stuff was bad.But when you need it thats a great alternative.Thanks for the info.
One Stroke has one that smells like orange, much better than the solvent smell of some others.
It's important to be careful with "smells like"; some products use citrus to disguise some very nasty chemical odours. It sometimes convinces people to be lax with OH&S procedure because it doesn't seem that bad. Citrus can mask all kinds of things underneath that strong smell though, so it's important to read the MSDS: don't assume it's less toxic because it smells more pleasant.

I guess you can compare it to what your using, but after looking at the MSDS for what I have been using, OPP seems much safer.
Without removing the screen from your press take to rags spray press wash on them and rub the dried ink and it should come right off..1 rag on the print side and 1 rag on the ink side...just like rubbing to nickles together
