Default Aluminum Screens

Hey guys!
I am looking at buying a new machine and it has aluminum screens. I've only used the Xpress screen with the disposable nylon, so can I use the same kind of inks? Or do I need to get a different kind. Also, what chemicals are needed to clean this ink of the screen?
THANKS 4 ANYONES HELP!!!!!
Amy in Dallas

You should be able to use the same inks. Which inks are you using at the moment?

Thanks for your help! Well, as of now I'm not using anything, I am just starting up a business. But I used the Triangle brand of inks. Do you recommend any?

Well, to answer your original question: if you're using waterbased ink, you use water to wash out the screen, if you're using plastisol (which I believe Triangle is) you can get commercial screen washes (I don't use plastisol, so it's not my area). If you're using waterbased ink you need a water resistant emulsion. Manufacturer's websites tend to be pretty comprehensive information sources, and suppliers I've dealt with have been very helpful about laying out what you'll need if you give them some parameters. Not too much will change from the system you've used before.

There should be no reason why you cannot. The only thing you have t watch out for is the emulsion you use. You need the type that resists your ink type. Choose the wrong one and the screen won't last long at all.
