what are the main differences between screen printing on CDs and t-shirts?

Lightbulb what are the main differences between screen printing on CDs and t-shirts?

Hello everyone I've been doing screen printing for about 8 years on cds I was recently laid off and I was wondering if you guys can share some wisdom on getting started and if there was anyone near the nashville area who would be willing to mentor me in the business of screen printing on t-shirts or can you guys help me understand the difference between the 2 cds and t-shirts

The main differences are that cds and tshirts use different inks. Cds are printed with UV inks, vinyl inks, and is run through a UV dryer. Tshirts are printed with waterbased, plastisol, dye discharge inks and need to heat cure using a conveyor dryer.

The tshirt press is usually a rotary press where the screens and platens spin. Theres a lot more, but thats the basic.

Wow! Great idea- a Mentor! I would love to have a mentor in my area too. Having a Mentor feature would be so helpful. ....... Sorry Im just a newbie myself and couldnt mentor you.

We have had alot of people applying for work here that worked where you did and another company who mfg cds down in huntsville al....

your welcome to drive down and ill walk you through our facility to show you the difference.
