Default Homemade* pallets

Hi, I was wondering what is a good dimension for a screen printing pallet meant for adult men's tshirts. I have seen tapered and curved top edges, are they necessary?

Also, is MDF board a good material for pallets?

* actually, I'm going to get the guy at the DIY place to cut it for me.

we made one for our client who wears a 5x...but i really love using it to print on anything XL and above. it's pretty fool proof for centering the design.

we used fiber board (is that right? particle board has larger chunks of chips in it, right?) and sanded all of the edges down so they are rounded. it's secured by those metal rings that you have to use a flat head to tighten. it was cheap and works beautifully!

hahaha, i laugh at my tool/building supply terms.

Mine are all 15" x 15". That may seem small, but how wide are your squeegees anyway?

I also keep a larger one (16" x 18") for those odd jobs that just don't quite make it. I've only had to use it once.
