vector or raster (pixels)?

in corel you can create files using the pantone palettes and then you can run a separate film for each color in your printer setup. go to window/color palettes/pantone solid coated. the program will recognize these colors as spot colors instead of cmyk, allowing you to separate them.

do a search here and you should be able to find a lot more.

We have 3X, you have to have a post script printer and when you go to print select the postscript option, select the lpi (we use 36) and it will work.
If you don't have a postscript printer this option is not there.
