Default Printing Transparency's with Epson C120 printer

Hi
I recently purchased an Epson C120 printer as an extra. For some reason, when I try and print a transparency, the printer just shoots it about 3/4 thru without printing and then paper jams. Are there certain settings I need to use this printer? Thanks

I'm not 100% familiar with this printer, but it sounds like the printer is not recognizing the film with its optical eye. It tries to feed something through then gets it in the roller and is wondering what is caught in its grip which causes the paper jam. The Epson 3000's used to do this and people would tape down pieces of card board or at least stick some paper under so the optical eye would recognize that there was paper in the feeder. Also closing the cover seemed to help keep extra light out that might have been messing with the optical eye.

I have the same printer and what i do to print my transparencies is tape a regular sheet of paper behind the film. I cut off a little bit of the paper from the sides and one of the ends so that the paper wont hang off the sides because its really hard to tape the paper exactly on the film. Also use removable double sided tape.

I will try that as soon as i get a new cartridge. I ran out of magenta and replaced it with a generac one and now the printer won't work until I either get a chip setter or a new epson cartridge. Thanks again for the tip
