ink that soaks into the material?
i have seen shirts that have a print that is smooth to the touch..... is this like a water based ink or a dye process?
i know plastisol is heavy and creates a ridge ......
i know dtg makes a smooth print...but usually the color isnt solid enough for the darker colors....
just looking at other options right now...
thanks

Sounds like your after a screen print feel. If you can take an example of how you want it to feel (the example you gave perhaps) with you and your printer will be able to suggest the best way to achieve that based on the tee's, colours design etc

Re: ink that soaks into the material?
i just talked to my printer and he said they can thin out the ink and do a higher mesh.....
but now if i go that route.... i'll have to get about 15screens remade to a higher mesh........ so i'll have to see the costs on that....

what color shirt are we printing on? sounds like your printer is stuck on plastisol. thinning the ink and going to a fine mesh may feel softer, but you'll get fiberlation after you wash and some customers will complain. stan

Re: ink that soaks into the material?
fiberlation.... is that when the fibers come through the print?
my print only does plastisol so not sure what other ideas are there....
i'm doing a thinner t this time... a 4.4. oz royal lightweight....so figured the print might be tooo heavy if used the same way we printed on the gildans

I use waterbase for most of my baby gear and the feel is very minimal. If you run your hand over it there is a slight difference in feel between where the printing is and the garment, but only minimal
