Default How Long to Complete This Job?

Hello and thanks in advance for your assistance.

Below are the specs of a job that we just completed. We are relatively new to the screen printing business, but have been in the embroidery business for 20 years. We recently did the below job and it seemed to take much longer then anticipated.

How long would it take you, or should it take with comparable equipment to what is listed below?

Assume art, film, screens & registration has been complete. We have a 6 Station, 6 Color manual printer, one flash unit & a conveyor dryer.

Job Specs:

1. Two Color Front Left Chest
2. Two Color Full Back (6" H; 13" W)
3. 432 White T-Shirts (Black, Maroon Print)
4. 576 Black T-Shirts (White, Maroon Print)

Any information is greatly appreciated. Also, where can I find production expectation guidelines? Is there anything out there that would tell me production guidelines?

Thanks to all.

Patrick

Is there a need to flash between colors on each design or are you printing wet on wet?

Is this a number you need to tell your customer? or are you just curious on the standards?

Yes, more curious as to the standards. Like I said in the original post, the job is complete and it took much longer then we anticipated. It actually took us 6 plus days of actual production time and that seemed too long.

Can anyone tell me where I can find some information on what kind of production we should be getting out of the equipment (and trained staff) we have?

Thanks again,

Patrick

You're gonna hate this but........
It all depends....
There is no "standard".
It is what it is.
I'll tell you this, I did a 350pc order- underbase flash- then 2 colors on black tees last year and it took me 3 days. It could have been done in 2 days with a dedicated printer.
With the auto......whole new ballgame-2 hrs printing, maybe 1hr set-up which is a very high estimate timewise.
My suggestion, keep trying till you get what you want- in terms of efficiency.
Good Luck.
