Wait...your planning to screen print 1 shirt, for $10-$15? Not many printers will do less then 24 pieces, ocassionally you will find 12 piece minimums. But to screen print 1 shirt, to earn maybe $3 in profit after it's all said and done, is not a great idea ($2.25 for tshirt, $0.50 emulsion, $0.50 to reclaim, $0.35 one color ink, $1.00 film and printer ink, $1.00 general clean up, $1.00 labor...well you get the point).

Every shirt is going to be different, but the $20-30 price range for a one-off is about right. Depends on how your making it too. Screen printing is going to be a little more. Lot of things can factor into the price of a shirt.

Consider looking into inkjet heatpressing. They dont look great, ever, but it might make the 1-off people happy for 15 bucks or so.
I have recently lowered my minimum qty based on screenprinting through cut vinyl, but its not great for all circumstances, the ink layer is thicker. Plus you still have the cleanup..

not 10-15 bucks, 10 or 15 shirts, 40 bucks does sound more like it, all that work for 1 shirt

Head over to the heat transfer forum and learn how to do inkjet transfers, they are the most economical way to do one offs. If you use good paper and a good printer they look fine but they won't wear like screenprinting. Inkjet transfers start fading noticeably after about two months, in my experience, and will gradually fade until they are washed out anywhere from 1-3 years depending on how often they are washed and how the person washes their clothes. Personally I like the faded look and I only keep my tees a year or eighteen months tops anyway. Don't sell them as a high end product and most people won't mind.
