Default Bartering / Trade Experiences?

Hey gang... I was recently contacted by a few places looking to trade their services and goods for shirts

has anyone ever done this?

do you make the trade value of your shirts the normal cost?

say, hypothetically... you charge $50 for 20 shirts on a normal order... do you still consider the 20 shirts as $50 in the barter?

Tell me your barter experiences...

I had the following contact me recently:

Tattoo Shop
Car Detailer
Concrete Guy
Glass Shop
one guy even wanted to trade me a mini bike!

First off It has to be something I want.. .. I wont barter for something i wouldnt get anyway lol..
I mean do i need concrete work.. If i dont then it wouldnt serve me to barter.
and when you barter normally its for things of equal value.. so 50 in tess would get me 50 in product from someone else..

I have given discounts to my car detail guy.. we did magnets for him and gave him 30 dollars off.. and He gave us 2 hand car washes..
but alot of times.. we get things free from our customers even when we charge them regular price lol.. we have some really great customers..

Bartering can be a great deal for both sides.

We've used the barter thing too. Exchanging dollar for dollar is the best way to go. We have a landscaper right now that wants some vinyl on their vehicles...and I need some yard work done. We will give him a quote for his graphics, he gives us a price on our yard work, we trade the work for work, and pay cash for the difference.

I love to barter and trade. Sometimes trade is better than cash- sometimes.
