I was just wondering what are the most useless, overpriced addons that you've come across, and what did you use instead?

For instance, Scorch Remover. We all know that it's literally Hydrogen Peroxide mixed with 2 or three parts water.

$12.95 if you buy it from some suppliers. $.69 if you buy the peroxide at your local drug store and mix it up with water yourself.

I'm going to be making a post on this over at splinters, so I thought it might be fun to get some of your opinions.

Vinegar used 50 /50 does the same thing and its $2.00 a gallon...lol

M & R's $1000.00 precision palette locator (used to be sold as an add-onfor the Challenger - might be standard equipment now) -- I use a 2 x 4 cut to the right length, and stick it between the bottom of the palette & the register bearings.

People that sell "scorch remover" should be prosecuted for fraud, though.
