Are you using speedball screens? What is the mesh count?

If that ink is real thick and I think the metallics are, you will need a lower mesh count. Water based inks need to keep moving or they will dry in your screens and you are screwed. Is it just a drying problem or bad coverage when you print?

looks like its drying in the screen (although looks like the ink basically gets through) but it comes out on the shirt looking pretty bad, definitely not full coverage. I was talking with my buddy last night and he said that since i am printing on a black shirt i should try a white underlayers and than try the gold on top for the serious good looking gold. maybe this is a better option, the gold seems to look ok on a white shirt.
those mettalics are strange, especially the silver and gold ones.
it definitely looks better if i just paint it on with a brush.

Speedball metallics gave me a ton of trouble. I remember once that on the second shirt it had clogged beyond hope, but I wasn't flooding. Be sure to flood and keep moving.
