ok, lets play a game. It's called the Emulsion Game. How you play is you tell us:
1) what emulsion you use.
2) what color it is.
3) where you get it.
4) if you recommend it.
ok...it's not really a game but i'm curious to what you experts all use.
i'll start
1) CCI ProChem DXP Dual Cure Diazo Emulsion
2) Pink
3) silkscreeningsupplies.com
4) i don't really recommend it, which is why i am playing this game. I'm looking for some clear emulsion that works good, so if you know some let me know.

Now lets play my game...
1)What don't you like about it?
2)is it really pink or orange pink?
3)why would you want clear emulsion (if they made it)?
Our screens expose in about 1:00 minute using CCI.
CCI's DXP emulsion is perfectly fine for plastisol inks. What kind of problems are you having with it?
I use the same one as you do (yes, with the same info) except, that I really like it.
I've had great results.
You mentioned that you want a clear one?
I don't think they make a clear one.
It's a benefit to have the pigment in it.
the clear isn't exactly completely clear but it doesn't have a color to it. its more of a pale yellow, when it is dry.
There isn't really anything wrong with ours i just think its getting old and we need to order some new emulsion and i'm just seeing what everyone suggests, to see if we should stick with what we got or change it up.

1) ulano qx-1
2) teal
3) Texsource Texas
4) for the price, I love it. my setup will burn screens from 45 sec to 3 min. depending on mesh count and color. If I were rich I'd buy qtx, twice as fast, twice the price!
my vendor has told me about a ulano proclaim clear that is pretty see through (milky), you add as much blue pigment as you'd like. i've never used it though.
Addison, keep in mind, different emulsions may need different exposure precision. CCI Dual Cure is known to be "forgiving" perfect for people using regular shop halogens or such for exposing there screens.
If you decide to buy other emulsions such as QTX, you might have trouble if you do not have a proper exposure unit set up as it exposes faster.
good point teddy, i think i will stay with what i got. i think its just a getting a little old. someone told me it starts going south after a month. just curious if others think this is true.
our exposure unit is 25"x36" and is UV. We don't have a vacuum, however we do have a an aluminum lid, and also this piece of foam in place of the vacuum.

I don't remember what kind I use offhand, but all I use to expose it is two 100 watt light bulbs. I've had the same can for a year now and it still works.
Saatichem has an excellent photopolymer emulsion (presensitized), pink. I get mine from One Stroke Inks, Louisville, KY. It is equivalent to Ulano QTX and costs less. 40 second exposure with my 1K watt metal halide fixture.
Ive been using the ProChem DXP Diazo photopolymer dual cure direct emulsion as well....ive got a 150 watt light bulb with a pie tin as a reflector...im gonna be honest, the only problems ive had so far were from my own mistakes! i would appreciate it if there were some sort of guide on exposure times somewhere but ive been too lazy to find it and i think im doing alright without it!
Swithched from Ulsno QTX to chromaline chromablue 2 months ago- I can't tell the difference, only costs about half as much. 400 watt metal-halide stadium lamp, vacuum lid. Got the emulsion from Nazdar- highly recommend it. Exposes for me in 15sec or less.
