purchasing screens, need advice. Hey guys,
I'm about to purchase my first set of screens and I was looking for advice on the best mesh counts to get for "basic" tshirt printing.
I'll probably start out doing one, two, and maybe three colour jobs, but I want to make sure I have enough of the right screens just in case.
so this is what I'm thinking I'll get.
2 - 110's
2 - 155's
1 - 230
does this look acceptable for your basic printing? Should I bump up the 155 and 230 to say, 173 and 255?
any info is much appreciated. Thanks!

Re: purchasing screens, need advice. Seems like a reasonable start to me. Different printers might argue about different counts, but ultimately you've got to commit to something, and that seems reasonable. If you're using waterbased ink I wouldn't bump the counts up, if you're using plastisol... maybe (not my area).

Re: purchasing screens, need advice. You may want to grab an 86 mesh for printing sparkly inks, if you're going to get into that. I've found having a few lower-mesh screens very useful. Chicks dig sparkles.
