I press t-shirts and am interested in giving screenprinting a try but am concerned with the price of screens. Where is a good place to buy them? What is a reasonable price for a 20x24 screen?
I used to buy wooden screens from Ryan Screen Supply, which is now owned by Lawson. I also bought some aluminum frames from them. Screen Printing Equipment, Screen Printing Supplies and Direct to Garment Printers.
Now I buy screens from Westix Screen Printing Equipment, Supplies, Service & Support - Westix Online I only use 20x24" aluminum frames now, and I order from the guys at Westix because they are good to me. They don't have screens on their website, but give them a call to order them. I think they are like $18 to $22 depending on mesh count, but I'm not sure. I wish I had extra money so I could order a dozen more!
Agreed, I really like the GM companies wood screens. I cant use aluminum, so I am stuck with wood..
I ordered a few from Lawson, one came really warped.
