I saw this shirt on GoMedia's website, and I can not for the life of me figure out how it was printed. The description says that 9 screens were used. There is a link to pictures of different stages of production in the article also. I assumed that it was a 9 color simulated process, but the guy that works for the company that printed it says it is not a simulated process. Does anyone have a clue to the printing and separation methods used? It is a very nice print, and seems to utilize advanced printing techniques. The guys from DBH are seem to be keeping quiet about how it was made. I can't say that I blame them.

Wow! it looks like they printed the shirts twice. It looks like two guys hold an oversized screen that is too wide for the presses side clamps and they print the grey(?) splatters and run it throught the dryer. The shirt is sitting on top of a very large pallet for this. The shirt is then loaded normally on a regular pallet and the other colors are printed. I'd guess it's just spot colors maybe done with channels in photoshop. I like their equipment. I've got the same M&R dryer and I'd like to have that M&R Chameleon press. The two tier carousel is really cool. You can see them printing the shirts here: Bold is Beautiful - a set on Flickr
