Nice.. I just found out that I can get a Workhorse Dryer for the same price locally..

Westar Solutions - Workhorse

I think I might go with the Workhorse.. I know they have good equipment and since its local, I can check it out before I buy it..

Anyone have bad experiences with Workhorse?

I think thats a specific Cap Dryer,

It has a curved element, and wouldn't be ideal for t shirts.

Just make sure you get a flat panel dryer!

Unless you only do hats!

if you read the description it will explain that is has a curved element specifically for curing the fronts of hats.

Here's a link to a pretty cheap, small dryer. I've got the 220 version, and it's comparable to a Little Buddy or better. Mine has greasable bearing pillow blocks for the rollers instead of cheap nylon blocks. I know they changed to the cheaper ones a couple of years ago, but this one probably has the better bearings like mine. The price is right.

i've got the little 5' workhorse. It work just fine. i added some foil lined foam insulation wherever i could squeeze it in. it has NONE from the factory. if i knew better and had a little more $$ when i bought mine, i'd have bought a hix. they have a lot of insulation and are thermostatically controlled so you only use power when it needs it.

I think several people here have the black body little buddy, and I haven't seen any real complaints. Your main concern will be the fact that you'll outgrow it. Once you've got a conveyor belt oven going, and you're printing and putting prints straight onto the belt, you'll get a lot faster, and you may run into issues waiting for this little oven to catch up. I have a HIX 24" 10' that I really like, but I have to wait for it to catch up sometimes, if I'm doing big but easy prints. Not too often tho.

I'd recommend everyone to stay away from CAPS brand equipment. I have one of their presses. It's a coat rack now.

that sucks about CAPS stuff. I know the guy who used to own it, he said the newer stuff is garbage. i'd hate to be the previous owner of a co. that now makes crap.

I dealt with Alan on a couple of occasions, and with a woman who answered the phone (I don't recall her name) and they were nice people. I got very good deals from Alan. The dryer I have was a bargain and is pretty well made with features not found on anything else in that price range, and Alan told be if I ever needed parts if necessary I could always find just about everything at Grainger.
