Default what to do if you're screwed by a printer?

what kind of pressure can i put on a printer who has printed my shirts poorly?

i purchased 288 blank tees and took them to a printer to print and he printed almost all of them poorly -- they were stretched on a pallet that was too big and when they went through the dryer the image was skewed.

however, my real problem is that 32 of them are so bad that i can't even use them. one of the ink colors was hit twice and it printed so that the image has a "double vision" effect, because either the shirt or the screen moved and it printed, in some cases as much as an eighth of and inch apart.

the printer has been intolerable and unreasonable about the situation and i asked him to pay me for the 32 that are unusable, however he simply insists on giving a "credit", which is useless to me, since i will not be giving him a chance to screw me again.

who can i file a complaint with that will put some pressure on him to make this situation right?

I don't know if you have many options, but you may want to consider filing a complaint with the better business bureau as well as any local chamber of commerce.

You can, of course, soil the name of this printer online by providing the facts (with pictures to prove the poor quality/issues) using your own free blog or another website that gets good search engine traffic, if you should so choose.

In either case, I would let the printer know before I actually carried out one of these actions to give him a chance to redeem himself.

If you have a real issue go to small claims court. He did not have proper tack on the shirts probably is the reason for the double image. What type of shirts did you have. There are issues when you have Jr. and Adult that not all will fit on the same plattens. If that was the case that should had been communicated with you and you should had been charged a fee to swap out plattens.

They were all girls shirts, small through 2x.

The issue is probaly the tack they are using on their plattens or they way they are pulig them off. This can cause the image to look skewed. We had some issues when we first did girly shirts but have since figured it out.
