Looking to print a design on the upper back across the shoulders... was wondering from a printers perspective what the widest I could do for sizes L-3XL?

Files setup as 14" wide now which is typically what I use for largest width on chest... but I definitely want this to be as big as possible without violating the rules of thumb. I don't want the art to wrap around the shoulders.

Any suggestions?

I would not go bigger then 15"

most generally garments fall slightly off the shoulders and so your design will not be visible if you go to the sleeve seam so you should keep it about 2 inches from the seam at least if you are looking for more room
