Default Oracal 641 appropriate for screen stencil?

I've been using some generic sign vinyl to make screens of certain designs with a plotter, but I need to switch over to something a little higher quality.

Does the 641 have enough tack to stick to a 100 mesh screen, or are there other cost effective ways to make stencils with a plotter? I looked at the Ulano knife cut films but it's much pricier than straight vinyl.

I've used 651 with no problems.

That's what I wanted to hear, thanks.

Another question for the forum - what transfer tape is recommended for that vinyl? Something low-medium tack would be ideal.

i use Oracal 641, because it has a water-based adhesive and i believe plastisol ink does't harm it that much.
i am wondering if i am right, tho.
i place the stencil on the t-shirt side.

i can make about 40 perfect prints, white on dark, small letters, unders an inch hight, before the insides of the "e" and "o" letters begin to slighly lose theit tack.

the ink that gets trapped in the large open mesh area and on top of the vinyl is very difficult to wash.

Thanks alot for the info, might as well give it a shot.

Also, anyone have any leads on transfer tape for the vinyl?
