Conveyor Belt Motor Help! I need a replacement motor for a Lawson 2412 dryer. I was thinking about getting one from Grainger, but it may not be a direct replacement.
What size and rpm do I need?

Re: Conveyor Belt Motor Pull the motor and look for markings.
When it comes to something that is broke, i don't have to worry about breaking it. The motor may just need a set of brushes or to be cleaned up.

I'm guessing you already turned the speed knob all the way up?
Some electric motors can be wired to multiple voltages and phases. It might be possible to miss wire the motor and have it run, but not run correctly.
Many dryers are chain driven. It might be possible to change the sprocket to a different size.

Re: Conveyor Belt Motor Look in your local yellow pages. You might find an electric shop that can rebuild your motor,or have a replacement for it. Also try calling places that can rebuild starters and alternators. Most of the time they can rebuild motors too.
