Default Problems reclaiming.

I am using emulsion made image mate. It is the 343 diazo (for water based ink) and I am having a really difficult time reclaiming it with the 311 Quick strip stencil remover by Lancer Group international. I mix the reclaimer as directed which is 20 to 1 and leave it in a bottle over night. I went to reclaim a test screen i used from last week and alot of emulsion was left after washing for about an hour. I tried two other screens and I ended up using alot of stripper to get the emulsion off. There is even some emulsion left in the screen that wont even come out which I hope I don't have to get them re-stretched because they are all covered in fresh mesh. This was on a 110 and 157 mesh screens. I am using a garden hose with the high pressure nozzle and I am leaving the stripper on the emulsion for about 1 or 2 minutes before trying to blast it away. Can someone recommend a more powerful reclaimer or let me know what you think is wrong. Thanks.

i was trying to use my garden hose with the same results. I took them to the car wash and used the pressure washer and the emulsion came right off. I dont thing the garden hose has enough pressure, at least that seems to be my experience. I'm still a newbie so I may also be wrong

I guess I may have to try that because i have not got a pressure washer yet. The attachment i have has plenty of pressure but I still don't think you need a pressure washer to blast away the stencil after applying reclaimer to it. Maybe i need a stronger reclaimer or maybe i will try just coasting one side of the screen.

Oh yeah. For what it's worth, check Sears for a good deal on the Karcher 1400 PSI washer; I got mine for about $75. Worth every penny and makes reclaiming go a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT faster! Garden hoses just don't have enough kick, even with a spray nozzle.

I think a pressure washer is a must, and you use a lot less water and time.

Just don't get one that's *too* powerful, or you'll rip a screen. l learned that the hard (see: 3000 PSI) way.

Just picked a pressure washer up. Canadian Tire (like Lowes or Homes Depot) had some nice basic one that are 1200 psi on sale for $49.99. That seems like a perfect amount of pressure. That's until May 30th if any Canadian members are interested. Ill let you guys know if it works any better for me or if I'm going to have to switch up emulsion and reclaimer.

I got an interchangeable quick connect with pressure valve garden sprayer set for ten bucks at Harbor freight but lost the fine mist attachment and now they don't sell it anymore. I search for an hour(no joke) to find another online and you can order it for $20 and shipping it's made by BioGreen and if I can't find it locally I'll gladly order it. I measured it out in comparison to a jet sprayer I have and for those pain in the @ss pinhole grabbers it shoots a gallon in 3.5 min as opposed to 30 seconds.

I was using a garden hose and having similar problems. Everything took hours of scrubbing and tons of times hitting it with the hose before it was remotely clean.

I borrowed my father in-laws pressure hose and everything came off in seconds.

If you don't have a pressure hose I say go to the car wash like someone suggested. You will save a lot of time and energy doing that.
