Question I want to print a shirt with full color... ???

I want to design something and not worry how many colors it has... Is this when you seperate the colors into cmyk? I know you have to do something with angles, WHAT???

If I was going to ask another printer to do this, what is that considered? a 4 color...

Some one help me out please !!! Thanks

it would be called 4 color prcess. when cyan, magenta, yellow and black are used to create or simulate all the colors you want. i have not tried this process so i would not no how to create it but as far asking a printer just ask if he can do images using 4 color process. not sure if you need an underbase for darks like you do on spot colors but if you do that would be 5 colors. anyways hope i help, im sure more will chime in here. good luck

Generally, 4-color process is done on white or light shirts, but it's possible to do it on darks also with an underbase. Most printers use simulated process on darks.

As far as the screen angles go, you're best off leaving the separating to the screenprinter. He will probably use angles that are different than commercial offset printers use, and he may have a combination that he's found that works well for him. I've tried it a couple of different ways with reasonable success.

What he'll be most concerned with is the resolution of the file you provide, if it's a raster image. Ask any printers you plan on using what they prefer, although you can't really go wrong creating your design at 300 dpi. It's always better to downsample if necessary.
